Welcome to Padua
Arrival at the hotel in Padua and meeting with the guide at 4:00 p.m. After a brief welcome, we’ll begin exploring the city by gathering for a tasting dinner dedicated to the authentic flavors of the region: a convivial occasion to get to know the group and discover the rich culinary traditions of Veneto. If the weather permits and you’re up for a walk, we’ll conclude the evening with a stroll through the historic center, soaking in the elegant and tranquil atmosphere of the city lit up at night.

Saturday will be a day dedicated to experiencing the authentic spirit of Padua, starting with a guided tour of Palazzo Bo ( optional), the beating heart of the historic University. After this cultural immersion, we’ll stop for a break at the famous Caffè Pedrocchi or the Graziati pastry shop, where you can savor local desserts and specialties. We’ll reach the highlight of our weekend in Padua by exploring the city market, in the shadow of the Palazzo della Ragione, between Piazza della Frutta and Piazza delle Erbe, sampling traditional tramezzini and folpetti. In the afternoon, the exploration continues at La Specola,the ancient astronomical tower turned museum, which showcases a passion for science. In the evening, we’ll dine at a restaurant to savor local flavors.

Sunday morning will be dedicated to one of the most evocative and significant experiences that Padua has to offer: you can choose to visit the Basilica del Santo, a destination for pilgrims from all over the world, or alternatively, immerse yourself in the natural tranquilityof the Botanical Garden, the oldest university garden in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Whatever you choose, we will meet up again with the rest of the group to round off our three days in Padua in style: we will toast together with an aperitif in Padua's historic center with our guide. Padua is well connected to many Italian cities. Once you arrive at Padua station, you can easily reach the city center on foot (in about half an hour) or by bus, with a journey time of about 15 minutes.
